We’re looking for a passionate Business Analyst to join our team. A self-motivated individual with passion for sales, building relationships and strong communication skills. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for prospecting, engaging with carriers, along with building and maintaining relationships with a customer base. This is the perfect opportunity for eager professionals to get their foot in the door of an exciting and rapidly growing industry. An outgoing personality is a must, along with good Excel, PowerPoint and excellent written language skills. Proficiency in English is a must, other languages are a bonus. The position requires excellent attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines on a continuous basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing relationships with customers/carriers/logistics services providers and generating new business.
  • Soliciting customers which include Ocean/Air Import, Ocean/Air Export, Distribution & Warehousing, LTL Transportation and Cargo Insurance and Customs Brokerage, etc.
  • Responsible for meeting the monthly quotas given by Sales Upper Management.
  • Market research for industry trend, pricing, tools, competitors, etc.
  • Market news/status update distribution.
  • Forming a customer base by cold calling, issuing quotes, preparing bids and making formal presentations to prospective customers.
  • Be well-informed with the current logistic industry and able to apply to our prospective clients.
  • Monitor and follow up with all accounts through the CargoWise system. Paid training is provided!
  • Maintaining constant communication with the Operations/Customer Service Departments and overseas offices.
  • Accomplish analyses, write reports, recommend actions, or perform any related tasks that provide the capability to relate logistics design parameters and support cost to include reliability and maintainability, human factors, system safety, suitability and vulnerability, hazardous material management, standardization.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • 5-10 years sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent Excel and MS skills are a must, as the position requires the ability to analyze and interpret data to guide decision making and sales objective setting goals.
  • The ability to learn quickly and work efficiently as productivity goals must be met.
  • Good organizational skills as this position requires working with multiple departments and following up with clients and prospects.
  • The person in this role is responsible for having reliable transportation at time of hire. Must be able to drive and hold a valid US driver’s license.
  • Familiar with CargoWise system would be a plus, but not must.

What we can offer you:

We do offer a training program where you will learn and understand the principles of CargoWise system. While you are learning CargoWise system, your hands-on sales will begin.
Pay Structure: You will receive a base salary along with the standard commission structure (discussed in depth during interview process).

  • Freight Forwarding and Handling: 5 years (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
